WVR 2274 switching Mountain Fir Mill at Independence, Ore. (Photography by Jesse D. Burkhardt)
This webpage is here to share my passion for shortline railroading in western Oregon. During the last 10 years I have researched and modeled many aspects of those micro-railroads that offer such a charming flair of laid-back railroading.
Many of those things I came across influenced "my" very own railroad: the White River and Southern Railway. So here is the story of a might-have-been-like railroad that is closely tied to the context of the railroads in Oregon's Willamette Valley.
Come along and enjoy …

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This webpage is in its setup phase. As I browsed landscape, literature and cyberspace I gathered many information and images. Some pictures or words were just more impressive than mine, so I added them freely to my world of ideas and imagination. This webpage is just mirror-image of this imagery.
